The UNFCCC Technology subprogramme has the task of devising options for implementing the Convention and Protocol commitments on the development and transfer of climate-friendly technologies. TT:CLEAR has the main goal of improving the flow of, access to and quality of the information relating to the development and transfer of environmentally sound technologies (ESTs) under Article 4.5 of the Convention. The site also provides up-to-date information about technology transfer, allows direct access to databases, publications, and case studies and promotes an exchange of views on different technology transfer issues. The Sustainable Alternative Network (SANet), a United Nations and Global Environment Facility Partnership, offers a tailor-made advisory service with access to local experts, one-on-one consulting, and a host of online information resources, including case studies of businesses that have successfully switched to cleaner technologies. NOTE that this database will access a maximum of 50 records and the records will be in a variety of languages. The SANET site contains English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish translation capabilities.
